New Mexico State Senior OlympicsThe New Mexico State Senior Olympics is taking place in Las Cruces on Wednesday, July 30 and Thursday, July 31, 2008. Volunteers are needed to run the races. Our own Dave Clements is helping Frances De La O, the event coordinator to get volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Dave at dj.clements@earthlink.net. Please provide your t-shirt size for a volunteer shirt to wear at the event(s). |

Enchanted Circle Bicycle RideThe Bicycle Adventure Club invites interested riders to participate in the Enchanted Circle Bicycle Ride 2008 September 3-14, 2008. The ride is a challenging circle starting and ending in Los Alamos, NM and touring through northern New Mexico for ten days of riding. Mileage averages 45-50 miles a day with a couple of 60+ mile days with 2,000 feet of climbing most days and a couple days with 3,000 feet of elevation gain. A luggage van with driver will haul gear each day. The ride is limited to 18 participants. Note: the ride is only open to Bicycle Adventure Club members, so you will have to join to ride. |
